Salawikain (Tagalog Proverbs)

(Tell me who your friends are, and I’ll you who you are.)
Ang tunay na kaibigan, nakikilala sa kagipitan (A friend indeed is a friend in need.)
Gawin mo sa kapuwa mo. Ang nais mong gawin niya sa iyo. (Do unto others what you want others do unto you.)
Huli man daw at magaling, naihahabol din.
Batang puso madaling marahuyo.
Buntot mo, hila mo.
Walang pagod magtipon, walang hinayang magtapon.
Kapag may isinuksok, may madudukot.

Summer Vacation in Alcoy

Last summer vacation, we went to Alcoy to visit our grandparents. Our Aunt said that we will go to Tingko Beach. While waiting for the others, we decided to take a swim first. Finally, they're all here and we moved to the other area because it's more comfortable. After three minutes, it's time to take our meal. After that, we took some rest. After a while, we plunged to the sea. While swimming, unknowingly, our skin made contact to some unseen sea organisms that they commonly call "laway" or "baby jellyfish".

When Grandma knew that there are "laway" in the sea, we stopped swimming. Then we went home. We took a bath and took some rest. Our bodies were itching hard and Auntie Madeth put some cream on them.

You are a Human Being

Along with plants, you are a part of the living world. You have an important role in nature. You and other living things are interrelated. Your interaction with other living things and with your environment enables you to survive or live.

As a human being, you will understand what makes you a human being. Like a machine, your body consists of different parts. Each part functions in relation to other parts.
